October 2022

It’s autumn here in Florida as was evident by the whopping 51° F (10.5° C) temperature this morning!

But what does a Florida Honey Bee do in Autumn? There’s not much for bees to work as far as pollen goes. Our focus right now is keeping them fed. We put them near fall crops and supplement their diets with a special syrup mixture.

Check out these pictures we took this past month—

Three beekeepers in white bee suits. Bees are flying all around. They are in a small clearing in the woods.
Blue sky in the background. Pale yellow wild flowers on a tree stem. A bee is in motion trying to land near the top.
Tall grass and wildflowers with pine trees amongst them. Clear blue sky. My dad has his finger in the upper left corner. Good job dad.

Good Job on this photo Dad! You only got a little piece of your finger in the frame.

I have exciting Apiary updates to share with everyone! While I can’t reveal the exact date of release for our new line of products, I can say look forward to hand crafted items in November! A highly anticipated product will be our 100% Beeswax candles! But that’s not it! Stay tuned for more!

I hope you enjoyed this short and sweet blog post.

Have a bee-utiful day 🐝
